The Feedback @ WEMF

Tomorrow, I will be joining Tom Maroon on his weekly radio show The Feedback on WEMF. You may know Tom as the guitarist who accompanies me for my live performances. I am also in another project with him called Red Right Hand.

The Feedback is new to the WEMF roster. I've caught a few snippets and it fits right in with the eclectic cast of music geekery.

No pigs! Entrail Soup is day time out door performance fun where artists are challenged to see what they can do with the limitation of being completely unplugged! Dreamscapes 7

  • Hope Central Church

Emma Leavitt, of Atlas Lab, was given the role of organizing a fascinating showcase called Dreamscapes. This is the seventh installment in the series and the second one that she has produced. She will even be performing with her solo project Solei.

I have never composed a piece with the sound of a church in mind. Churches are some of the most beautiful structures in the world - inside and outside. No matter the volume, sound is amplified into different dimensions and ethereal ricochet.

See what I mean?

I have a bunch of ideas for my composition. I was able to catch Jacob Schwartz electronic project Eu La at the previous Dreamscapes and it blew my mind. His music spoke for itself, "this would sound so different anywhere else."

Eu La

Eu La

Based on the population who center their entire life in a church, I want every event in my ~20 minute ambient pop song to center around one theme - one sacred institution.

I Heart Noise Showcase 3

  • Lilypad Inman

I Heart Noise, and its sister site Boston Becomes Eclectic, are music blogs that I follow on the regz. Ilya Sitnikov & Company do a cracking job of giving press to local, deserving talent.

I was fortunate enough to play at the I Heart Noise showcase a few months ago at Out of the Blue.

I am more fortunate of Ilya developing a fondness for my music - I am playing the next one! This time around, it will be at the Lilypad. Skyjelly and Fat Shuggy's side project Disembowelment Choir will also be playing. See you there!

  • SCATV

Boston Hassle is positioned in the left field of Boston. Their vision of Boston's unique musical landscape is a constant inspiration in my life. Before putting all my energy into this project, I had the pleasure of working with them for about a year and a half. I give them credit for introducing me to the scene and who keeps it real.

This is why I am honored to take part in their 24 hour telethon on SCATV between the hours of 3-4pm. Tune in and watch Dr. Moses Cavejis conduct a discovery workshop.
